Directions to RiverScape MetroPark
RiverScape MetroPark is easy to reach, no matter what direction you are coming from. Just follow your favorite major artery to Main Street in downtown Dayton, then go east on Monument. If you are taking the highway, check HERE for specific directions.
Where to Park
There is plenty of on-street parking in Downtown Dayton – and on the weekends, there’s no charge. The Downtown Dayton Partnership website has an interactive map to help you find available paid parking.
The RTA is providing a free shuttle service all weekend from major parking garages, as well as the marked shuttle stops listed on the map below. The RTA buses will operate in a continuous loop so festival goers will only have to wait a few minutes at a stop to catch the next bus with the Germanfest Picnic window card and “shuttle” on the destination sign.
The hours of operation for the RTA shuttle are Friday, August 11 between 5:30 p.m. – 11:30 p.m.; Saturday, August 12 from 11:30 a.m. – 11:30 p.m.; Sunday, August 13 from 9:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. All shuttle service will continue each night until the last customer is picked up.
Bring Your Bike
Ride your bike out for the GermanFest Picnic and we’ll provide FREE Bike Valet Parking. That’s right, BIKE valet parking helps festival-goers beat the car-parking-blues. Find the Bike Miami Valley tent just off the trail near the RiverScape Pavilion to check your bike in and we’ll park it. You enjoy the activities and we watch your bike free of charge. Help the environment and do your part by arriving on two-wheels! Service supported by Bike Miami Valley & a grant from the Ohio EPA, Environmental Education Fund. Bike valet parking runs until sunset.
